Funny Military Names - As anyone who's read Mission & Purpose knows, there are few things we love more than an aptly named war machine, especially when it's an M1 Abrams with the best island and gun head wrapped in silicone love.
Of course, naming tanks is a long-standing tradition in the US military, and it has its own rules and regulations. The Sierra Army Reserve in California, where M1 Abrams tanks have gone after their deaths, even maintains a list of names derived from a collection of retired gun barrels:
